  • Acoustic Assessment

    Policy

    Prior to first occupation of the flat hereby approved, the applicant shall submit a report demonstrating the acoustic assessment and specified design criteria required to achieve the following standards, for approval by the local planning authority. All requirements contained within the approved report shall be implemented and a commissioning report demonstrating actual compliance submitted, prior to first occupation of the flat. A maximum noise level in the following locations of: - Living room/kitchen - 35 dB LAeq, 16hr (07.00 - 23.00hrs) due to representative external ambient noise; - Bedroom (daytime resting) - 35 dB LAeq, 16hr (07.00-23.00hrs) due to representative external ambient noise; - Bedroom - 30 dB LAeq, 8hr (23.00 - 07.00hrs) and individual noise events not normally exceeding 45dB max (F time weighting) due to representative external ambient noise; - Living room & bedroom - 47 dB LAeq, 8hr (23.00 - 07.00hrs) in the 63 Hertz octave centre frequency band and 41 dB LAeq, 8hr (23.00 - 07.00hrs) in the 125 Hertz octave centre frequency band due to representative music noise from the nearby licensed premises, including the adjoined premises. These requirements shall be met with windows closed and alternative means of ventilation provided.

  • Expanded food provision

    Policy

    Prior to the commencement of any cooking activities taking place at the premises (including, but not exclusively, use of ovens, friers, stove-top, grilling, griddles and charcoal methods of cooking), details of an extraction/ventilation system to control the emission of cooking smells and fumes so as to prevent any odour disamenity to nearby residents shall be submitted to and approved by the local planning authority in writing. The approved scheme shall be installed and be fully operational when the cooking activity commences. All equipment installed as part of the scheme shall thereafter be operated and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. The system shall be so designed as to ensure that noise from its operation does not cause adverse impact to nearby residents.
